Senkrah's History
In 1947 Abe Harkness bought first two Staffords at 11 years of age. Sired by Red Pete ex Brindle Mahdi. Then in 1956 bought two bitch puppies from George Down [Weycombe] the two became Ch W. Julie and Ch W. Melody of Senkrah. Julie was then mated to Ch Eastaff Danom and produced the first Champion dog bred in Scotland and Breed Record Winner. Ch. Sahib of Senkrah.

Then came S. Sabelle, the top producing bitch with the first three champion bitches from one litter, including the first International Ch. Bitch of the breed S. Sabeau. The first Ch bitch in Northern Ireland Ch S Saffron who in turn produced the first Ch dog in N.I. then Ch S.Sapphire which was then followed by Ch S. Sabutae. From this stock many of the top kennels were founded.

Although all our winners were Fawn & White we did have three Brindles and of course the pied dog Ch Anjemag Aussie. I consistently bred from 'M' Line stock and this continued until we lost our last male a few years ago.

Other Breeds in the Kennel include Skye Terriers, Cairn Terriers, Labrador Retrievers, Dobermans, Silver Toy Poodles, one Italian Champion Bulldog, and our Australian Terrier, Ch Pitcombe Red Rum.(owned in Partnership Mr. A W Harkness & Mr. W Brown Of Ralindi Aussies)
Recently French Bulldogs have been added and have just bred the first Ir.Ch U.K. Ch in the Breed.

He has been judging for over 40 years and have awarded CCs in Staffords since 1964 and in Skye Terriers since 1979 and all Breeds at Open Show level. He has judged in Eire, Finland, Australia and South Africa. Have judged at Crufts twice and then at the World Champion Show in Helsinki.
